1 / 3Westcroft Leisure Centre
π Carshalton, Greater London
Affordable leisure centre in Carshalton with an eight-lane 25m pool with natural outdoor views, a smaller teaching pool, 160-station gym, and a sports hall for badminton and five-a-side football.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the people are very nice. The facility is extremely budget-friendly, especially considering the quality of the courts and the classes offered. The classes, specifically Zumba, Body Combat, and Yoga, are excellent. Itβs amazing that they provide all the necessary equipment for these sessions (just remember to bring your own for badminton!). I also noticed that the toilets near the badminton courts are kept relatively clean, which is always a plus for a busy centre. If I were to nitpick, the yoga mats aren't the cleanest and have started to develop a bit of a smell; it would be great if the centre could invest in more thorough cleaning for them. Iβve heard mixed stories about the swimming area, but since I havenβt used it myself, I canβt comment on that.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who prioritise pool quality and variety of group fitness classes at an accessible price point. The natural light in the main pool is genuinely distinctive. Fitness classes fill quickly β book in advance. Bring your own yoga mat if attending yoga sessions.

βSwimming pool is great. Has a view outside to trees etc. so it doesn't feel dark or enclosed. Even though it was busy when I went at Saturday peak time it still seemed manageable in terms of numbers of people (which must be due to the booking system) and I enjoyed the swim. Front desk staff were friendly.β

βWestcroft Leisure Centre has everything I need in one place - a swimming pool, a great range of gym equipment, and plenty of exercise classes to choose from. Even with how busy it gets, the staff do an excellent job of keeping the centre clean, organised, and well maintained, which really shows their commitment. The only downside is that the exercise classes fill up very quickly, so it can be hard to get a spot. Adding more classes would make a big difference! Overall, a fantastic facility!β

Westcroft Leisure Centre's main pool runs eight lanes across 25 metres with windows overlooking trees β an unusually open feel for an indoor facility. The teaching pool supports structured lessons across age groups. The gym runs 160 stations and a full group fitness timetable. The sports hall covers badminton and five-a-side. A booking system manages peak session numbers. Fitness classes provide all necessary equipment except yoga mats.
