📍 Carshalton, Greater London
Tranquil green space where the River Wandle feeds spacious ponds past a small waterfall. Ducks, swans, squirrels and birds are abundant. A playground and connecting path to Beddington Park extend the visit options.
This park is one of my favorite places to spend time and relax! It’s incredibly green and full of life, with ducks, squirrels, birds, swans, and pigeons all around. It’s perfect for jogging or walking dogs, and there’s a fantastic play area for kids too. If you enjoy photography, this place is a dream with all the natural beauty and wildlife. My favorite part is feeding the squirrels—they’re so friendly and always a highlight of my visits. I come here often to unwind, and it’s truly a peaceful and enjoyable spot!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children who enjoy unstructured nature time — wildlife spotting, picnicking, and gentle walks rather than structured play. The River Wandle and pond wildlife reliably engage younger children, and the compact size means the site is manageable with prams and toddlers.

“I would say it's an amazing park. So much greenery there. You'll also get to see a lot of squirrels. Fresh, clean water running in the lake. There are also benches for you to sit down. There is also a small park for kids with swings and other stuff. If you are looking for some peace and fresh air, this is your place with music of running water and rustling leaves.”
