1 / 2Woodheys Park
đ Sale, North West
Woodheys Park in Sale combines a chip-and-putt golf course, children's playground, woodland walking trails, and a 1km perimeter circuit. Four access points and pram-friendly paths throughout.
A good place to have a walk, it has a playground area and a golf course as well as picnic tables and a small forest-like area at the back. It has four entries so easily accessible, two of them are by the brook so gives way to a nice extension to the walk. It's usually fairly empty so helps in social distancing.
đ Family Action Verdict
Works well for families wanting more than a standard playground visit â the chip-and-putt course suits children aged 6 and up, and the woodland area gives older children space to explore independently. The perimeter circuit is a good length for a short family walk without needing to drive anywhere.

âLovely visit to my childhood park, whilst celebrating breathchamps 3rd birthday. Park is well kept, woodland gently managed. If visiting or passing through, please remember to respect park users and the wildlife, take your rubbish home, or use the bins provided, thank youâ

âWhen not in covid, Perfect place for young ones to kick a ball, throw a Frisbee. Large enough to socially distance, and a nice woodland area to walk around. About 1km to walk around the outside, with some picnic tables and in the summer, a chip and putt course.â
