1 / 3Wyndley Leisure Centre
π Birmingham, West Midlands
Leisure centre with two pools including Aqua Challenge inflatables, a five-court sports hall, gym, 400m athletics track, and a popular Saturday roller disco. Swimming lessons and Mini Ninja classes available for young children.
Roller Disco on Saturdays 15:30pm - 16:30pm Average hall size but makes up with the staff teaching the public. From slalom (going in and out of cones) to party games like limbo Itβs base indoors ( the badminton court) and with the lights off; has a great party feel with the disco lights on. Skaters change directions every 10/20mins to skate and the Marshalls skate along helping those that require tweaking their skating skills. For friendliness and family atmosphere 10/10
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children β the Saturday roller disco is a genuine highlight with structured instruction, and Mini Ninja classes fill the toddler gap. Under-16s face gym access restrictions to weekday afternoons only, so teens wanting gym time need to plan around that.

βGreat staff. A place to get active and socialise. Loads of fitness classes to enjoy. Stretch classes and yoga highly recommended. The gym is very spacious and as loads of equipment quiet in the day time. Loads of things for kid to do And there's a Costa too . For the catch up chat after your all worked out .β

βIf you are Under 16, donβt go to this gym!! Incredibly frustrating- paid for a whole years membership on the basis that I could use the gym at all opening hours (6:30am-10pm weekdays and 7am-5pm weekends), went today at 7:30am and was refused entry as there is a new rule that u16s can only use it 1 or 2 hours a day in specific time slots (4-6pm weekdays, not sure about weekends) I donβt feel this is fair when Iβve paid for a full membership just to cut the hours open to me to only one or two hour time slots a day (I can no longer go in the morning) but understand its out of their control. Itβs a shame as the personal trainers here are brilliant, and equipment is decent, but no good if we canβt use it. Thinking of switching to gymgroup for next years membership to avoid the hassle.β

βLoosing patience with Wyndley gym after numerous years. The virtual spin has been broken for months. Iβve put in comments cards and emailed and no one ever gets back to me. The turnstiles never work in the morning so Iβm always getting strikes when I book in for 7.15 HITT. Itβs chaos in the gym when the school kids are in too and also for the free hour. I pay in advance for a years membership but dearly wish I hadnβt this time.β
