π Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking a relaxed, uncrowded outdoor day with genuine wildlife interest rather than structured entertainment. The lake wildlife β particularly the parakeets and terrapins β consistently surprises first-time visitors. Multiple playground zones mean different age groups can split off and regroup. Well-suited to families with dogs.

βGreat place! Lots of grass for picnicking, sports and walking your dogs etc. There's tennis courts and a table tennis area too. A flock of parakeets makes it's home in the big old trees and you will see swans on the pond most days. Also on sunny days you will see terrapins on the logs and shoreline! The old cricket club is a nice friendly cafe these days. The yearly Caribbean festival held here every summer is good fun for all ages. There are multiple entrances dotted along the boundary of this large park so you gain access from whichever neighbouring street you may be on.β
