1 / 2Brockwell Park Miniature Railway
📍 London, Greater London
A 7¼-inch gauge miniature railway in Brockwell Park running weekends from March to October. Routes run between Herne Hill Gates and Brockwell Lido with steam and diesel locomotives. Under-twos travel free.
Every year for the past 3 years, we have had my daughter’s birthday party here. It’s always a smash hit with the kids, and the people who run it are really nice and helpful. It’s not that expensive to book for a party either. We sometimes joke that we will be booking our daughter’s birthday party there until she’s 18! Thank you, BPMR!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and children under 8 who love trains. The short ride keeps young attention spans fully engaged, and children frequently get to blow the horn. Repeat birthday party bookings from the same families each year signal strong confidence in the staff and experience.

“Really nice and cute little railway. Staff were very nice and I even got to blow the horn a few times. Great ride for children and adults alike. Don’t need to wait for to long. Only £1 pound per person. The trains are very cool”
