Enjoyed a trip to the Mail Rail on Thursday 12th February. It was not too busy so we were really pleased. We had to wait about 5 minutes for the train but that was alright as we were able to chat to the guide about the train and museum. I enjoyed the ride and all the interactive displays. My favourite was sorting the mail on the moving train, I couldn't believe how much the simulator moved about!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 3 and up who are drawn to trains and hands-on discovery. The underground journey captivates young children on a sensory level as older children and adults absorb the historical context. The Sorted play space extends the visit meaningfully for toddlers.

β€œTook my young son here recently. He really enjoyed the little train journey. He also enjoyed the Sorted postal play space. Definitely highly recommending this Mail Rail experience for your little ones. The last time I visited Mail Rail was circa 7 to 9 years ago when I took my wife there. Since then the area has transformed. Now are new apartment buildings in front for the Mail Rail premise.”

β€œAbsolutely fantastic in every way. The definition of small but mighty museum. So glad they kept the heritage of this place, and didn't repurpose it for something else. A must visit.”
