1 / 2Burgess Park Woodland Playground
📍 London, Greater London
South-east Burgess Park playground featuring geometric dodecahedron structures linked by bridges, balance ropes, net tunnels, climbing walls, slides, and natural Robinia timber elements. Ages 5–12 thrive here on hot days under mature tree canopy.
My daughter and her friends enjoy it so much. They played for at least 2 hours without being bored. It is a nice play area full of challenging things to do. She is 6.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5–12 who want physically demanding, adventurous play in a shaded outdoor setting. The variety of equipment keeps mixed-age groups engaged simultaneously. Check the equipment for bird droppings before letting younger children loose — overhead trees are the culprit.

Overview
Designed by Duncan & Grove Ltd, this playground combines geometric metal climbing structures with natural Robinia timber play — swings, a winding net trail, and balance ropes. Located off New Church Road in the south-east corner of Burgess Park, mature trees provide dense shade across the whole site. Equipment scales in challenge from confident toddlers to active pre-teens. Sessions of two hours or more are common.
