Creative playground built from reclaimed wood and tyres rather than plastic, set next to a lake with water lilies and a waterfall. Spiral slides and climbing ropes cater to a range of ages.

This is an excellent playground in a convenient location if you’re looking to kill some time with the kids. There aren’t a lot of parking options as it’s close to residential areas with parking restrictions but some restrictions only apply through the working weeks, so weekends are generally ok. The best thing about this park is the creativity behind the playground equipment. They’re all built from reused wood and tyres and so has the sustainability element there and the designs. Definitely my kids favourite playground in the area. Can imagine this is pretty popular in summer.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want a genuinely different playground β€” the natural materials and lakeside setting make this feel more like a forest adventure than a standard park visit. Climbing ropes and spiral slides suit children across a range of ages. Weekend visits avoid the weekday residential parking restrictions on nearby streets.

β€œLovely park and playground, especially when the weather's nice. The equipment is still new and maintained, and there's variety to keep the kids entertained. For more info, I've written a blog post about it at 'ABC Dad UK'.”
