I visited Stronghold in Tottenham with my children during half-term, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated their strict adherence to safety policies. Climbing with kids requires extra attention to ensure everyone stays safe, so it’s important for adults to have some climbing experience to guide the children effectively. Our late afternoon session was highlight of our day. I’d highly recommend Stronghold if you’re looking for an engaging activity to enjoy together as a family. I used to go climbing with my older children, so I was thrilled that my little ones could now enjoy this experience too. I’ll definitely be going back! When we’re in Jamaica, we usually climb waterfalls and hills, but indoor climbing has become something we love during the colder months here in the UK. Totally recommend!!!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 5+ who are ready to try structured indoor climbing. Staff are consistently praised for how well they handle kids, and safety standards are high. Adult climbing experience is recommended when supervising children on roped walls.

Great place to climb. Close to both bus and train station (10-15min walk) and surprisingly there is free parking available. Parking is limited to about 10 cars and is usually full during peak times, so I would recommend using public transport, I have never had any issues parking during off-peak times, though. Has a lot of good routes to climb for all levels from beginners to experts. It's also a great place for a family day out. From what I can see, the kids love it, and the staff are very energetic, patient, and caring when giving out lessons. Has a good amount of space and equipment for warmup and stretching. Facilities are all really nice and clean, and the staff are really friendly. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, but personally, I prefer to climb at their London Fields location as it's just easier for me to get to.

Initial sign up fee which is a little sad and can’t see why it’s needed. The best he is also in a very sketchy area in an industrial zone and doesn’t feel particularly safe to travel alone around there. Those issues aside there is a plentiful amount of walls and ever changing routes to get though so it’s worth checking it out if you live near by and don’t like or can’t rope climb. Good facilities and staff seemed decent.
