Open space in Lewisham Town Centre. It provides access to river Ravens Bourne. Cornmill Gardens represents the first of three new open spaces planned for Lewisham and has already gained several national design and landscaping awards. Among its facilities, you cand find the Waterlink Way, a play area and the already mentioned river.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

A strong choice for families with children between 18 months and eight years, particularly those based in central Lewisham who want a well-designed open space. The riverside setting and outdoor gym mean adults and older children have things to do alongside younger ones.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Bring a ball or outdoor games to supplement the play structures for older children
⏰Fill water bottles at the on-site water station before exploring the Waterlink Way
🎟️The Ravensbourne stream path is a pleasant extension β€” walk north or south from the park

β€œSmall and beautiful park which has a playground for kids. Playground is nice and clean with several equipments. An open exercise area makes the park more useful especially at the time of pandemic. A children’s school situated by the park. Other side of the park has a lovely water link. It’s a piece of Pearl for those people who lives around that area.”

β€œA children's park full of child friendly physical equipment, inclusive for 18m to 8 year olds. Left side of the park has a recently added outdoor gym and a green patch. Further down by the Ravensbourne stream has a couple of sitting areas. Sitting by the stream is my favourite thing to do.”
