Close to the town centre with disabled parking spaces by the entrance in Lloyd Street (w3w ///notice.stages.topic) Plenty of well maintained tarmac paths make this an ideal spot for a wobbly wander🩼 or a rolling rambleπŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ¦½ There's a gentle downward gradient from this car park so I was mindful it would be uphill most of the way back, the photos are from the furthest I ventured today, half way back and from the car park. (I went left) To the right, just visible through the trees in some shots, is a bandstand and more lawns. It's the beginning of October and the leaves are just starting to change colour, in a few weeks these views will contain gold, red, orange and so much more 🀩

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

A well-rounded park for families with varying mobility needs and ages. The tarmac paths throughout make it one of the more accessible green spaces in the West Midlands. The splash area peaks in summer for young children; the lake walk and gym suit older family members. Combine with Sandwell Valley to extend the outing.

β€œLovely, well maintained park with great accessibility options for all to enjoy. One of the things I loved most about this place was the amount of seating and areas to just relax, enjoy the park and take in some of your surroundings. Highly recommended for a nice walk or to take your pets. Also a nice play park for children to enjoy.”
