1 / 3Everyman Hampstead
π London, Greater London
Single-screen Hampstead cinema with armchairs, sofas, and club suites dating to the 1920s. Baby Club, Toddler Club, and Family Film Club screenings run regularly, with kids' menus served at your seat.
We recently visited Everyman Hampstead for the first time, and having been to other Everyman cinemas before, we can confidently say this is the best one so far. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the dΓ©cor gave it a warm, inviting feel. We watched our film in the main screen, which has a theatre-like setup, making the experience even more special. Unlike other Everyman cinemas, this one offers extra space between attendees, so you never feel crowded or like someone is invading your personal space. Itβs a small but significant detail that enhances comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. A thoughtful touch we appreciated was that when ordering from our seats, the staff offered tap water without any pressure to buy drinks. Itβs a small gesture, but it shows they genuinely care about the customer experience rather than just maximising sales. The different lounges are also a great feature, allowing you to relax while waiting. The audience was generally polite and respectful, which is probably helped by the fact that Hampstead is a more upmarket area. One thing Everyman does consistently well across all their locations is the short pre-film speech with instructions, which adds a personal touch compared to commercial cinemas. While tickets are more expensive, itβs absolutely worth itβespecially for a film youβre really excited about. Itβs also a perfect spot for a date night or an evening out. Highly recommended!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children who can sit quietly through a film and appreciate the upmarket atmosphere. Baby Club and Toddler Club sessions are the right fit for under-5s. The armchair-and-sofa setup is genuinely more comfortable than any multiplex, and the Hampstead crowd tends to be respectful during screenings.

βSaw Zootropolis 2 here with the kids and some friends the other day. Gorgeous cinema fitted out with comfy armchairs and couches. Itβs no cliche to say that itβs so opulent it makes the local multiplex look like a slum by comparison! Added bonus of table service for food and drinks to further elevate the experience. Other than popcorn (plus food from neighbouring Spielburger) we recommend their coffee and cake.β

βSmashing place to see a movie with armchair seating and fresh popped corn along with tasty barista coffee. Pricing about the same as the usual multiplex but personable service and well curated viewing list coupled with menu ordering from the pews makes it much better value.β

βExcellent food, but once the screening time is reached the lights should go down. Service-to-seat should stop. Constant interruptions from staff walking down the rows to deliver hotdogs to late-comers. Sound in Screen 2 was too loud (the loudest of any Everyman screen Iβve been to) but otherwise the cinema is fantastic.β

Overview
Two screens with armchairs, sofas, and club suites fill this 1920s Hampstead picture house. A private Upper Lounge accommodates children's birthday parties. Table service runs throughout screenings across Baby Club, Toddler Club, and Family Film Club sessions.
