1 / 3Grangewood Park
π London, Greater London
Peaceful, completely fenced park in Thornton Heath with wide paved paths suitable for prams and wheelchairs, playground areas, outdoor gym, tennis courts, and basketball and football cages. Views of Croydon and Crystal Palace from elevated sections.
Absolutely love Grangewood Park! This is a hidden gem in the heart of South London. The park is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of nature β perfect for families, joggers, and anyone who wants to escape the city noise. Thereβs a lovely playground for kids, plenty of benches to relax, and the walking paths are clean and wide. It feels safe and welcoming at all hours. A truly underrated park that deserves more attention!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers or pram-age children who need a reliably flat, enclosed outdoor space in South London. The full fencing removes the anxiety of open park boundaries with young children. Families planning longer visits should bring their own food and drinks as there are no on-site facilities.

βGorgeous, completely fenced in Park with wide, paved footpaths. Lots of trees as well, they provide a lovely canape for summer. Absolutely worth going for a walk there. It's dog friendly as wellβ
