1 / 3Harbour Quay Maze Play Area
📍 London, Greater London
Compact maze-designed playground in Canary Wharf with seesaw, xylophone, mirrors, mini bridge, and sound pipes. Waterside setting alongside South Dock. Designed for children under 3; older children will outgrow it quickly.
Small playground but cute one. It's really clean, creative and close to the water so for me and my 2y old son is a perfect stop
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers under 3 who want a short, high-quality play stop in a visually impressive waterside setting. The creative maze layout holds young children's attention well. Children over 4 will exhaust the space in minutes — pair with a walk along the waterside promenade to extend the outing for older siblings.

“Really puzzling - at your first sight! 😲 ☺ It looks like more of a Maze than children's play area! Actually, it is both a Children's Play Area combined with Maze! A tiny area compared to the skyscrapers standing tall adjacent to the Play Area or the water in the South Dock! Something different! Something creative! Away from the traditional play area - with Plenty of green space, Riverside Quay walking Trail with benches! Many things can seek one's attention - Swans, boats, skyscrapers, trees, buildings, clouds playing with tall towers, sparking water etc! This Play Area is surrounded by Art Installations, Water streams and skyscrapers - appealing to inner core and creating a platform for conversations! Only drawback is this play area is suitable for little children aged upto 3 I guess! Could have added some adventure trails open in the air!”

“Probably the smallest playground I've ever seen. But it being in Canary Wharf is is very well designed, clean and well kept. It is also next to a beautiful waterside promenade. It is designed for toddlers, so bigger children will be a bit cramped there. I recommend visiting this place, not only for the playground. There are really cool sculptures, buildings and quiet green spaces around. Both adults and children will benefit.”

Overview
Harbour Quay Maze Play Area combines a creative maze layout with interactive sensory elements — seesaw, xylophone, mirrors, a mini bridge, and sound pipes. The playground sits waterside next to South Dock in Canary Wharf, with skyscraper views as a backdrop. Consistently praised for cleanliness and creative design. The footprint is small by design, calibrated for toddlers and children under 3.
