π London, Greater London
Seven-screen Piccadilly Circus cinema with reclining seats, generous legroom, two bars, a first-floor restaurant, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic London views. Regular Q&A events with directors and cast.
I went to see Pillion here last week. Excellent experience as always. Good selection of drinks, food and snacks, two lovely bars, mostly friendly and capable staff, clean, good selection of films, good value (for a cinema), comfortable seats with headrests, good screens and good sound. I would say that this is the joint best cinema in London. My only complaint is that it's a pain to order drinks at the moment if you are visiting with a friend that bought the tickets. Having to show your ticket is not practical if your friend has it. I hope you will fix this weird licensing issue soon. Also, seats seem to have disappeared from the main bar. It seems less cozy. It would be nice if the bar stayed open longer. It seems to shut very early.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children who can appreciate a premium cinematic experience in a striking venue. The rooftop terrace is a genuine draw for teenagers. Younger children are welcome in age-appropriate screenings, so toddler-focused or baby screenings are the practical route for under-5s.

βGreat place to catch a movie! Itβs quite swanky inside and has a bit of an old school vibe. The screens are pretty big and the reclining seats are comfortable. You can also sign up to be a member for discounts on tickets/food and get free movie tickets.β

βThe theatre has seats with lots of leg space and no need to make room for people walking in front of you. The members area is really nice. The roof top tables have a fantastic view of London. There are bars and cafes and it is the best cinema in town.β

βNice place for a coffee, with varied seating and good options for hot drinks. Unfortunately what used to be a pot of breakfast tea has become a single tea bag in a mug, hopefully this is not the new norm and was a one off today Be mindful sitting to the side of the stairs, the bench sits just below the bottom stairs which have an edge on. If you are on the taller side and sit down you might bump the back of your head! This being said I would still recommend this to visitors nearbyβ

Overview
Picturehouse Central occupies a prominent West End address with seven screens, all fitted with reclining seats and proper legroom. The building stacks a ground-floor lobby, first-floor restaurant, members' bar, and a rooftop terrace with clear sightlines across central London. Director and cast Q&As, film festivals, and contemporary filmmaker programmes make the calendar worth checking beyond standard releases. Bar access now requires a same-day ticket.
