1 / 3The Heart of Gaming
📍 Croydon, Greater London
Arcade venue with unlimited daily play covering 60+ machines — Street Fighter, Daytona USA, The Simpsons, SNES through PS5, Nintendo Switch, Japanese rhythm games, air hockey, and ping pong. Entry wristband lets you leave and return.
Where I'm from there's no local arcades, and travelling to cities that still have them is fine but there's a limited selection or the machines haven't been looked after - you name it. Growing up loving older arcade games like House of the Dead, Time Crisis, Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom etc you CAN play most of them at home but it's just not the same Me and my family were gifted a day pass for xmas, and after traveling almost 300 miles to get here I can honestly say this has been one of the best days of my life. No joke! Every machine worked perfectly, every game felt so good to play! And as more people came in and the place got busier you were surrounded by people having a good time, it was an intoxicating experience. My only complaint is that we weren't able to stay longer on account of the journey we had to make to get home. I wanted more time!! Will 1000% plan to come back in the future. Thank you to the staff who were incrediblt friendly and helpful, thank you all for creating and looking after such a wonderful space!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 7+ who have an interest in gaming history alongside current-gen consoles. The unlimited format rewards longer visits — most families stay 3-4 hours. Younger children without gaming experience may find the retro selection less intuitive, so it suits families who can guide them through the classics.

“Visited for the first time today, two adults and three children. We stayed for around 4 hours and honestly old have kept going! There are so many different games, a variety of from new PlayStation games to retro arcade machines. There was something for everyone. We visited during half term and was shocked at how quiet it was, plenty of space and more than enough games to not get crowded. It’s a real bargain and great day out for the family. Will definitely be visiting more often and recommending to friends”

“What a great day out! Took my 9 year old nephew back down memory lane, all the great arcade games and consoles available to play. Reasonable prices for all day play. Space to sit and chill and lots of room. Would definitely be going again. The entrance is next to JD sports. They take card payments. And there is a shop/small cafe downstairs with plenty of other food shops around. You get a wrist band so you can leave and return. We need more of these around!”

“Had a great time at the heart of gaming! You pay an entrance fee and then it’s unlimited play. There was also air hockey which we loved. Lots of the retro and iconic Japanese arcade games we played in Japan were here 😍 staff were really nice! Ps5s & switches were included too in the price which was amazing. Wasn’t packed at all, very spacious”
