1 / 2Victoria Embankment Playground
π London, Greater London
Compact outdoor playground tucked beside the Thames near the Royal Horseguards Hotel, featuring swings, a small slide, obstacle course elements, and a pirate ship. Best suited to children aged 7 and under.
This is a cute little playground hidden away in a semi-forgotten park. Itβs right by the Royal Horseguards hotel and near the London Eye. Since itβs really small, I think it gets overlooked- but if you are tired of the mobs of people, especially near the Jubilee playground by the Eye- this may be a quiet alternative. Iβd say itβs probably not very exciting for kids over 7 though.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and children up to around age 7 who need a calm outdoor break during a central London day out. The overlooked location keeps crowds low compared to the Jubilee playground near the Eye. Older children will exhaust the equipment quickly, so plan it as a 15β20 minute recharge rather than a primary destination.

Overview
Victoria Embankment Playground sits in a semi-hidden pocket park close to the London Eye, offering swings, a small slide, obstacle course equipment, and a pirate ship structure. The site is pram-accessible and surrounded by bench seating. Its small footprint makes it a useful short stop rather than a standalone destination β particularly when busier central London playgrounds are crowded.
