1 / 2Walpole Park
π London, Greater London
Well-kept Ealing park with a wildlife lake, open grassy areas, all-ages playground, and a dog-friendly cafe with off-leash socialising. Public toilets on-site. Free entry and parking nearby.
Walpole Park is one of those places that feels like a little escape from the busy streets around Ealing. The lake is a real highlight β calm, reflective, and often full of ducks and other wildlife that make it a peaceful spot to pause for a while. The paths around it are great for a slow stroll, and youβll always notice something new, whether itβs the birds on the water or the flowers changing with the seasons. Itβs the kind of park that feels alive and welcoming without being overwhelming. Another nice touch is that you donβt have to worry about going hungry while youβre there β there are food and drink options nearby, which makes it easy to turn a short visit into a longer, more relaxing outing. Between the flowers in bloom, the occasional wildlife sightings, and the chance to sit with a snack and watch the world go by, Walpole Park has a balance of beauty and comfort that makes it easy to keep coming back. It really feels like a community space as much as a green one.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with younger children and dog owners who want a relaxed outdoor visit without travelling far into central London. The lake, playground, and cafe form a natural circuit that suits an easy half-day. Children under 8 get the most from the playground and wildlife spotting.

βWalpole Park is a beautiful and peaceful green space in Ealing, perfect for a relaxing walk, picnic, or just enjoying nature. It has well-kept gardens, a lovely pond, and open grassy areas. Thereβs also a nice playground for kids and often local events or festivals. A great spot for all ages to unwind and enjoy a bit of calm in the city.β

βI love this park. I am a dog walker and I take two of the dogs I walk to this park. It is beautifully maintained, and has a lovely little place to get coffee and food. It has public toilets, and is one of my favourite parks in London. It also has a beautiful play area for children. I highly recommend it.β

βThis park is really nice with a couple of cafes and a nice walking area. One of the cafes is made for people with pets so it is fanu to have a coffee there with your dog off the leash and making friends with other dogs aroundβ
