1 / 2Hollywood Park
đ Stockport, North West
Multi-level outdoor park in Stockport built into sloping terrain with natural stone climbing features, an elephant-shaped rock formation, open grassed areas, and stepped pathways offering elevated views across the area.
Very beautiful park but it was extremely cold around this time of the year
đ Family Action Verdict
Suits families with children aged 5+ who enjoy free-form outdoor exploration over structured play equipment. The stone elephant and tiered terrain are genuinely engaging for kids who like climbing and discovering. Toddler suitability is low â the terrain is steep and equipment minimal.

âI walk my dog here a few times a week. He loves running up and down the stairs. Despite some local scum leaving litter all over the place, the park is kept mostly clean and tidy, which is great! The grass is also well kept and looked after.â

âMy sons and I love Hollywood. It's never too busy and it's quite open so perfect for social distancing. There are some really interesting features like a large elephant like stone slab which the kids love climbing.â

âGreat space for the dogs to run around. Too many steps though! Luckily there is a path to walk up instead, which I've only just found. Nice and quiet in the day. Not so sure it would be at night with teenagers.â

Overview
Hollywood Park is a distinctive tiered park on a hillside, with stepped pathways connecting multiple levels and a stone elephant formation that children consistently seek out for climbing. Open grassed areas run across the levels with maintained paths for walking. The vertical layout gives views across the surrounding area from the upper sections. A separate walking path exists as an alternative to the main staircase.
