1 / 2David Lean Cinema
đ Croydon, Greater London
Volunteer-run independent cinema inside the Croydon Clocktower showing art house films, babes-in-arms sessions, dementia-friendly screenings, and relaxed neurodiverse showings. On-site Arts Bar with wine and snacks.
It's nice that Croydon has this cinema. It's a real asset for a town centre that is being decimated at every turn. It's unique in that it's tucked away, even though it's in the very centre, just by the Town Hall. With just 65 seats, it's very independent-minded, with a screening more or less daily. The staff really want to assist. I shall definitely return.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for parents with babies using the dedicated babes-in-arms sessions, and for older children and teens interested in films outside the mainstream. The intimate 65-seat room creates a genuinely communal experience. First-time visitors should check the Clocktower entrance carefully â the cinema is tucked inside and easy to walk past.

âThis is such a lovely venue. It is a small independent cinema run by friendly volunteers. Bar and snacks available. Reasonably priced with neurodiverse, and hard of hearing screenings, also babes in arms special sessions.â

âA wonderful independent cinema, located in the Croydon Clocktower complex. Whilst only small, it offers a good range of films and has a small bar attached to it.â
