1 / 3Vue Cinema Croydon - Croydon Grants
đ Croydon, Greater London
Mainstream multiplex with decent sound quality and cafe. Multiple recent reviews cite absent ticket checks, disruptive audiences, and inconsistent staff response. Better suited to adults or teens than younger children.
Awesome theatre with good sound system 4k try to get the middle row as the theater room is small if you take in front it will be difficult
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for older teens and adults who can handle an unpredictable crowd environment. Families with younger children face a real risk of a disrupted screening given the documented supervision gaps. If a calm, managed cinema experience matters for your group, other local Vue locations are worth the extra travel.

âThe people were polite and the popcorn was yummy. The movie was nice and I enjoyed it. Sadly when I watched the movie zootropolis there were two families arguing but it's not Ur fault because in the end one family got kicked out. Thanks for the experienceâ

âBit scary tbh, not sure anyone checked our tickets which isn't reassuring in Croydon. Our seats annoyingly were covered in the previous occupants leavings which meant we sat in some other seats and hoped nobody else turned up. Would like to see some security in place as we also saw much of the back row was destroyed and can only imagine it was done using knives. The staff seemed pleasant and the foyer was clean and tidy so I think any short comings are due to its location and the community it serves.â

âAwful cinema, avoid like the plague. Myself and my partner visited this weekend for the first time in years (because of previous bad experiences, so we were hoping it would have improved), but were super disappointed. The foyer had absolutely no prices displayed for single items (ie just some popcorn, or just a drink), only for 'deals' which are super expensive. Turns out the single items are just as much of a rip off too (around ÂŖ26 for 2 x large popcorns and 2 x large drinks??), the staff were super rude and disinterested, they actual gave us a medium drink rather than a large (I know this because they gave us a lid that was too big for the drink), but didn't want to complain because they looked so moody and didn't want an argument. There was literally nobody checking tickets so anyone could walk into any screen without paying, in fact about 10 minutes into our movie a group of boys came in with hoods on looking around a lot so I'm guessing they took advantage of that. A woman in front of us with her family had her feet up on the back of the chair in front of her, there were at least two families chatting very loudly like they were in their living room, and there was a small child running around the cinema screaming for half the time we were there. Obviously hard to complain with zero staff around. We ended up leaving after about 30 minutes because we couldn't take it anymore and didn't want to seem aggressive by complaining to people in there, and we won't be coming back. Worst cinema experience I've had in years.â

Overview
Vue Cinema Croydon Grants runs mainstream releases across several small screens. Sound quality is generally praised and cafe facilities are available, with parking on site. Recurring visitor reports describe absent ticket checks at the door, audiences that include unsupervised children, and staff who are slow to intervene during disruptions. Front-row seats in the smaller screens give poor viewing angles; middle-row seats are recommended.
