Wooden adventure playground for ages 2-12 with a free summer paddling pool, on-site cafe, and pram-accessible grounds. A giant spider web climbing structure is the standout feature.
Lovely selection of wooden play equipment age 2 to 12ish ( many adults assisting children on various pieces ! ). Of note is th giant witches hat shaped spider web which offers plenty of challenge to climb. The deep sand pit has two slides in it, small n wide and another long and narrow with a sheltered entrance tunnel. There are two pulleys too; a cute side by side friends one and a long two towered one by the edge of the meadow. It's easy to put your belongings on a bench, or on a shaded grassy area under small trees. There are horsey sculptures to laze on, a water fountain for your bottles and toilets by the kiosk near the entrance. NB you are asked not to ride your cycles within the play area to avoid accidents. The plantings across the site are very well thought out: irises, giant agapanthus, grasses and roses abound.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2-12, particularly on summer days when the free paddling pool is the main draw. The climbing structures offer genuine challenge across the age range. Toddlers need supervision near the deeper sandpit slides. Pairs well with a cafe stop on-site.
