Gladstone Park is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to spend time with family. I recently visited with my son and daughter, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. The park is incredibly well-kept, full of greenery, open space, and stunning views that make every walk feel refreshing and relaxing. The kids loved it there’s so much space for them to run around freely, play, explore, and enjoy nature. The playgrounds are clean, safe, and well-designed, and there are plenty of spots where families can sit, relax, or have a little picnic. Watching my children laughing and enjoying themselves made the visit even more special. The atmosphere in Gladstone Park is calm and welcoming. Whether you’re going for a walk, exercising, spending time with family, or simply taking a break from the busy city, this park offers the perfect escape. The staff and groundskeepers also do an amazing job maintaining everything so beautifully. Gladstone Park has become one of our favourite places. Spending time there with my son and daughter always creates lovely memories, and I truly look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for families and anyone who appreciates a quiet, beautiful, and friendly outdoor environment!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

A strong choice for families wanting room to roam without crowds. Works best for children who need space to run and families happy to bring a picnic. Exposed in winter β€” the wide fields feel raw when cold and windy. Spring and summer visits are the most rewarding.

β€œFirst time walking around Dollis Hill. The Parkside area is beautiful β€” posh houses, landscaped gardens, that quiet β€œold money” calm. But the Gladstone park itself? Eerie. Maybe because it is still a winter. A huge open field, muddy underfoot, wind picking up, daylight fading. One of those places that feels fine in sunshine but unsettling as dusk creeps in. Dollis Hill Park sits on part of the old Gladstone Estate, once owned by Prime Minister William Gladstone’s family.”

β€œGladstone Park is a rather large green area with plenty of sport facilities and I guess a few benches and bins if your lucky”

Overview

Gladstone Park spans generous open ground with a mix of manicured lawns, wooded sections, and panoramic viewpoints across north London. Playgrounds suit a range of ages and the wide, flat paths are pram-friendly. An on-site cafe provides refreshments, and the open spaces handle ball games and running easily. The park is at its best in good weather when the full expanse feels inviting.
