1 / 3Tollcross International Swimming Centre
π Glasgow, Central Scotland
International-standard swimming centre in Glasgow with an Olympic-sized pool at 1.35m depth throughout, gym, sports halls, and cafe. Professional athletes train here regularly alongside public sessions.
Big centre. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Latte in the cafe is very nice.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with confident swimmers aged 8 and over who can handle a 1.35m pool depth. Lane swimming and training-focused public sessions are the core offering. Not the right venue for toddlers or non-swimmers.

βPool was to deep for my 5 year old. 1.35M better at 0.85M which is better for recreational swimming when lots if young non swimmers like to practice, but it seems to be all about the lane swimmersβ

βTried a pay as you go membership and went to an early morning spin class. The instructor was fantastic (Leanne I think was her name), and after that, I decided to upgrade to (what seemed to be) an off peak or not full everything membership for Β£20 a month. I was immediately charged Β£21.32β¦ ok I guessβ¦ then when I go to book an off peak class, everything is Β£7 per classβ¦. Then I find if I want to use the gym; also Β£7 each time! Upon asking at the desk Iβm informed I have an unlimited pool membership (no thanks, definitely do not want in the same water as other people). I told them βoh, Iβll probably just cancel my membership thenβ and the look the pair on reception gave me, youβd think Iβd just insulted their mother!! The βfull accessβ is Β£31 per month! Way more than local competition. So if youβre looking for an overpriced gym membership or only a pool membership, fill your boots. Otherwise, other local gyms offer better options. Second star as the one class I had with an instructor was great, she was so good!β

βJoined through a scheme at work to use the pool and spa facilities only to discover on my first visit the spa facilities are permanently closed - i think they should have this on their homepage to make people aware. Now stuck paying membership until October that I'll never use. Can't believe the councils short sightedness regarding these facilities. The health benefits they offer ultimately saves health and social services money.β

Overview
Tollcross International Swimming Centre features an Olympic-sized pool used by professional athletes for training, plus gym facilities, sports halls, meeting rooms, and an on-site cafe. Baby changing and wheelchair access are available, with free parking on-site. The pool's uniform 1.35m depth makes it more suitable for confident swimmers than young children who cannot and touch the bottom independently.
