1 / 3Lower Crumpsall Recreation Ground
π Manchester, North West
Wide open green space with walking paths, mature shaded trees, and a small playground. Part of the quieter edge of Moses Gate Country Park. Popular with dog walkers and families wanting a peaceful outdoor escape.
Good place for walk. In the morning is very quiet place and you are able to run or exercise. Often you can see pets which usually are friendly also owners are always keeping them close so if you are not pets person you can feel comfortable there. Really, recommended π
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and up who enjoy outdoor walks and open-field play. The weir viewpoint at the end of the unmarked trail is worth finding. Families with toddlers expecting modern play equipment will be disappointed β the facilities are basic and benches are scarce.

βNot so known treasure of Harpurhey/Crumpsall. Not very diverse in wildlife and often quite littered/polluted but the quietness of this location is what makes it so tranquil. A lovely spot to sit overlooking the wier if you follow the unmarked trail.β

Overview
Lower Crumpsall Recreation Ground offers wide open fields, mature tree cover for shade, and a series of walking paths including an unmarked trail to a scenic weir overlook. The playground is small and facilities are dated, making the space better suited to families who want to walk, exercise, or kick a ball rather than those seeking play equipment. Litter around paths and bins is a recurring issue flagged by reviewers.
