Didn't go to the actual cinema perplex but to the car park that has been turned into an arts performing centre known as Peckham Levels funded by Bold Tendencies. Its the fourth time I have been here and its a brilliant experience. The most recent one was seeing the LSO perform (the string part ) and it was absolutely fabulous. As its basically a disused multi storey car park it's only open from May to September but its so quirky and delivers a great experience.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for budget-conscious families who want regular cinema visits without the multiplex price tag. Watch with Baby and autism-friendly screenings make it one of the more inclusive options in South London.

Reviews about it being dirty or smelling are simply untrue. It isn't a premium cinema but it's £6.99 and is very good value at that price.

Great independence cinema with nice price of ticket £4.99 (you can book online or book from ticket machine in front) everyday, not fixed seat so you can sit anywhere. You can get popcorn at good price. Advertisement is around 15-20 minutes. Only been here to see 2 films and experiences are different. First one, I went to see 007 on weekdays, it was lovely with all audiences being respectful as usual. Secondly, I went to see Batman on the weekend and most audiences (like more half of them) brought their own bag of snacks which made noise throughout the films. Please don’t bring something that make noise since this isn’t your home theatre. Not sure if it’s common here or just this groups or just on weekends. Besides that the staff is nice and overall is clean, but just don’t hold high expectation and you’ll be fine. Great place to catch the film at cheap price.

Peckhamplex is unbeatable for the price. £6.99 for a cinema ticket these days is amazing and it makes going to the movies feel affordable again. I’ve been a few times now and it’s always been a good experience. I’ve never found it dirty or smelly like some reviews suggest. It’s not a boujie, high-tech cinema... you notice that straight away. The screens aren’t super fancy, everything’s on one level and some seats are a bit worn. But other cinemas charge more than double just to sit and watch a film, so I really can’t complain. Only downside is that light from the entrance sometimes seeps into the screen, which can be distracting - that could definitely be improved. If I want something more premium I’ll go to a Cineworld/Odeon/Everyman, but for value for money, Peckhamplex is hard to beat. I'll be back :)
