Absolutely AMAZING church building. My friend Valentin spent the ENTIRE day praying in there and he got a vision. Now he's great. Then we went to the actual park-esc by the building and enjoyed the beautiful british weather of rain with some British cultural food - like chinese or indian
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for local families in Stockwell and Brixton who want a free outdoor space with more variety than a standard playground. The adventure playground and outdoor gym serve different age groups across the 0–21 range. The artwork adds a reason to walk the full site.

“Such a great place! Love it! Kids have such a great time there. They could do with some repairs especially outdoor but highly recommend it!”

“Regardless of the space constraints find playgrounds, outdoor gym, a conservation area and an adventure playground. A grassed area, attended contemporary landscaping with maintained shrubs and plants that add to the cachet. Even the graffiti here behaves itself. An exemplary local amenity.”

Overview
Slade Gardens combines an adventure playground, outdoor gym equipment, a conservation area with maintained shrubs, grassed open space, and a programme of community artwork integrated throughout the grounds. The park is pram-accessible and sits just off Brixton Road, easily reached on foot from Stockwell. Some outdoor equipment has needed repair work — supervise children on older structures.
