1 / 2Tumbling Bay Playground
📍 London, Greater London
Free outdoor playground inside Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park split into two zones — a sand and water play area for younger children with wooden bridges and slides, and a more challenging climbing section for ages 5+.
Great playground, in two parts. One for younger kids has lots of sand and water features, and a big wooden bridge and a slide. There's a cafe and toilets. The other part is for older kids (though my five year old loved it too). The climbing frame is actually quite challenging but my kids (10/7/5) really enjoyed it. There's also the Olympic rings right next to it that are worth a look and the kids loved the open space too. (The pictures are all from the older kids bit)
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Families with children aged 3–12 get the most from this playground, especially in warm weather when the water features are in full operation. The split layout means different-aged siblings can gravitate to the right zone without competing for the same equipment. Bring a change of clothes — the water and sand areas guarantee wet children.

“We love this place, is a very good way to spend time with family and friends (the small ones). In 3 hours, my boy made new friends, played in the sand and in the water. He was exhausted and slept like an angel. We were there 2 times, definitely will go more, till it's warm outside. Perfect for summer days.”

Overview
Tumbling Bay Playground sits within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and divides into two distinct sections. The younger zone centres on extensive sand and water features, wooden bridges, and low slides. The surrounding parkland extends the visit well beyond the playground itself.
