A small park which looks like a common with lots of foliage and an excellent children's playground for all the family to stroll around, have a picnic then have some playground time with younger siblings. A walk around the park a few times before having a drink at The Charles Holden is the way to keep fit then put back on the weight on the same day! 😎 The small stream and bridge as well as seats will motivate anyone to walk through this park a few times!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with toddlers and young children who enjoy a relaxed outdoor visit with wildlife, open green space, and a playground in one compact, flat site. The even terrain makes it one of the more pushchair-friendly green spaces in South London.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡The circular path is flat and even — fully accessible for pushchairs
Look for herons, ducks, and squirrels along the River Wandle and pond
🎟️The park is right off Colliers Wood High Street — easy to reach by tube or bus
🚗Bring a blanket and picnic supplies — the meadow is well-suited for outdoor dining

This is a very nice park. Small but cute. You can go around it in a circle, there is a nice track and a wide green space in the middle. Great local park to go for a walk or jog. There are some cute spots where you can rest and sit on a bench and enjoy the view. And of course there are some birds, ducks and geese, that you can spot occasionally. Very much appreciated in the area that is heavily dominated by streets and traffic.

It's a nice, green and small park. It's clean, quiet and well maintained. I saw some beautifully colored squirrels and ducks on the river. The park is crossed by a river, and another bigger one runs next to it. It's perfect for a walk in the fresh air, for a picnic or to read a book on a blanket.

The need to blow the cobwebs away took me to Wandle Park in Colliers Wood. On the edge of the High Street, it could be another world. Lovely River Wandle, beautiful trees especially at this time of the year. Even a Heron nesting. So peaceful for recharging batteries.
