There is a large playing field with goalposts, a picnic area on the site of the old cenotaph, and a separate kids playground. No dogs in the latter but otherwise this a blank canvas of a facility for local residents to make something of.

A solid choice for school-age children who enjoy outdoor play with space to roam. The Prestwich Clough connection extends a short playground visit into a longer nature walk. Toddlers may find the current climbing frame less suited to them following equipment changes. Bring your own refreshments as there are no facilities on site.

âIt's local to me room to walk and children to play,if your more energetic you can explore prestwich clough as there are paths leading to it from the playground .â

Gardner Road Playground sits away from busy roads and features a children's playground, large grass field with goalposts, and a picnic area surrounded by woodland.
