1 / 2London Zoo
π London, Greater London
One of the world's oldest zoos featuring 500+ species across spacious, modern enclosures. Keeper talks, Penguin Experience bookings, and pram-friendly paths make this a full-day family destination.
What a wonderful day! Today we visited the zoo, and it turned out to be an experience we will never forget. As a birthday surprise, we had booked the Penguin Experience, and that alone was worth more than five stars! A very big thank you to Masie and Susan!! From beginning to end, they made the entire experience truly unforgettable. They were incredibly friendly and took all the time in the world to share their knowledge and passion with us. We learned so much, we were allowed to help prepare the penguinsβ food, feed them, and keep them entertained. Everything was done with the utmost respect for the animals. We also gained great insight into how the zoo cares for its animals and how much attention is given to preserving their natural behavior and wellbeing. All we can say is: a huge congrats for so much love and dedication to both animals and people. Beyond the experience itself, the zoo is absolutely lovely. Highly recommended for young and old, and for every animal lover out there.
π Family Action Verdict
Excellent for families with children of all ages who enjoy animals and outdoor walking. The Penguin Experience is a standout for special occasions and sells out β book ahead. Food variety on-site is sparse so bring snacks. Plan for a full day and arrive early to see the most active animals.

βFor me, it was an amazing experience, especially getting to know interesting facts about the animals. London Zoo offers a wide variety of species, including big cats, penguins, reptiles, birds, and many rare animals that are not easy to see up close. Each area is well organized, informative, and designed to help visitors understand the animalsβ natural behaviors and habitats. Interacting with the animals and watching them in such thoughtfully maintained enclosures was really cool and educational. What made the experience even better was the zoo staff. They were incredibly passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable, always willing to share insights, answer questions, and explain conservation efforts in a way that was easy to understand. This is just my personal point of view, but I truly enjoyed my visit to London Zoo. It was both fun and informative, and I would love to go back again if I had the chance.β

Thereβs a great variety of species, and the enclosures are spacious and nicely designed. Itβs located inside Regentβs Park, which makes the surroundings beautiful and relaxing. Perfect for spending a few hours exploring and taking photos. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and definitely worth visiting while in London.β

βSuch an incredible zoo, we easily spent nearly all day here! It's spacious, modern, and has comfortable spaces to sit and enjoy some nature with shade. We loved seeing all the animals, many of which were very lively and easy to see. We especially loved seeing all the birdsβ they had such nice habitats and were exceedingly active, I think. Such a fun experience. I will say I found a lack of variety in the food offered, but that wasn't much of a bother.β
