1 / 2Science Museum Imax Cinema
📍 London, Greater London
The Science Museum IMAX Cinema features a giant screen and premium surround sound, showing educational 3D documentaries and major film releases. Pairs well with free Science Museum galleries.
Wonderfull experience, impossible to see everything in one day. Lots of zones, some of them interactive, visited IMAX theatre - definately worth a visit. All together definately recommend for all family members, and not a one time experience, would like to come back again 👍🙏
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children old enough to sit through a feature-length film and engage with IMAX visuals. The 3D documentaries are a strong match for curious older children. Pairing a film with the free Science Museum galleries turns it into a full day without additional cost.

“Watched The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX here last week. Phenomenal experience. Got a lot of popcorn for a great price. Enormous screen which felt very immersive and great sound quality. Also very cool to explore the Space gallery after normal hours.”

“It was a lovely day out. Went to the Imax Cinema first to watch a 3D documentary about under the sea which was superb.”

“Great screen size. Seating is comfy and has 3 drinks holders per pair of seats, handy if you are sharing snacks for example. Refreshments are fairly reasonable, a small popcorn, can of pale ale and can of coke was about £8ish. Book rear row for best view of screen as I can imagine it's not much fun looking up at the screen from the front rows.”
