1 / 3Surrey Docks Farm
π London, Greater London
Working city farm in Rotherhithe with free entry, animal feeding, and educational workshops. Species include goats, sheep, pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and geese. Weekend small animal handling sessions run regularly.
I went to Surrey Docks Farm for the first time today and they were having a Harvest Festival event going on and I thought it was the opportune time to have my first visit. First of all, it was a fantastic event and I had a real smashing time. Was in my element with all the animals and animal lovers for sure. The facilities and enclosures there are great not only for the animals but the public visiting too. You can see that the staff and volunteers really care for the animals. This is shown by how healthy the animals look. You can feed some of the animals there, buy feed from their lovely little farm shop, and off you go. Speaking of the farm shop, they have a rotating selection of farm produce for sale throughout the year, fresh eggs in the more, seeds, some farm and animal themed toys for the kiddies and so on. I highly recommend donating as admission is completely FREE ! SO SUPPORT IF YOU ARE FINACIALLY ABLE! Despite the restricted space they have being in London they provide such a lovely space for visitors and the local community. Check them out. Thank you Surrey Docks Farm Team! Keep up the great work.
π Family Action Verdict

The cafe can get busy on weekends β bring a picnic as a backup. Entry is free and donations directly support the farm's ongoing work.

βGood facilities and range of animals at Surry Docks farm. I saw Chickens, Cows, Goats, Pigs, Cows, Geese, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Ducks, Sheep, Foxes and Pigeons (last two were native not captive). The animals were well kept and seemed mostly content. You can buy food to give to them here and there are handwashing basins. It was moderately busy on a winter Sunday afternoon with plenty of space to move around. There is a cafe and toilets on site as well as a shop. Nice diversion for half an hour if you are walking the Thames path or could be a destination in itself if you want to linger longer.β

βHad an absolutely wonderful time at Surrey Docks Farm today! The farm is incredibly well-maintained and clean, making it a joy to walk around. A massive thank you to Anthony and the rest of the teamβthey were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The animals are clearly well-loved and so adorable (the little one peeking out from the pocket made my day!). Itβs a peaceful gem in the city. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great day out!β
